What We Collect

Nothing. cinepipe does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The app communicates exclusively with your Sony camera over a local Wi-Fi connection.

Network Usage

cinepipe connects to your Sony camera via Wi-Fi Direct (PTP/IP protocol on port 15740). This is a local network connection between your iPhone and camera — no data is sent to any server, cloud service, or third party.

Photo Library Access

If you choose to save photos or video recordings from the live view, cinepipe requests access to your Photo Library. This data stays on your device and is never uploaded anywhere.

SSH Tunnel (Optional)

For advanced setups, cinepipe can connect to a camera via SSH tunnel. SSH credentials are stored locally on your device and never transmitted to any external service.

Analytics & Tracking

cinepipe contains zero analytics, zero tracking, zero telemetry. No crash reports are collected. No usage data is gathered.

Third-Party Services

None. cinepipe has no third-party SDKs, no ad networks, no analytics frameworks.
